JET AIRWAYS' SAN FRANCISCO LAUNCH RESCHEDULED FOR MID-SUMMER

10th April 2008

India's premier airline to launch daily flights from the West Coast to India via Shanghai

Jet Airways, India's leading airline, is commencing daily service from San Francisco International Airport to Shanghai and India this summer. All government approvals have been granted and the airline is now finalizing the regulatory approval process with an aim to starting service on June 14 instead of the originally scheduled May 5.

With this launch, Jet Airways will become the first Indian airline to fly from San Francisco to Mumbai and only the second airline worldwide to fly nonstop from San Francisco to Shanghai. The flight from San Francisco International Airport will also be the airline's fourth daily North American departure to India, following new launches of service from New York's JFK and Newark airports, and Toronto Pearson International Airport, within the past year.
