Award-winning remote-control golf trolley manufacturer, Stewart Golf, has launched the F1 Lithium.

Carrying on from its predecessor, the X3R - voted best trolley in the 2007 Today's Golfer awards - the F1 Lithium boasts an elegant, stylish design and a host of new features, in addition to being the lightest, most efficient and easiest to control trolley on the market.

The F1 Lithium folds in half in a single motion, with no need for clips or catches, allowing it to stand on end for easy storage at home or in the car.

The lithium battery is only one third of the size of a standard trolley battery and more than 80 per cent lighter. It also features a quick connect system meaning there are no wires to connect.

When folded the F1 Lithium occupies just one third of the floor space of Stewart Golf's previous model, the X3R, and nearly half of the overall volume. Weighing just 14kg including the battery, and at just 66cm wide by 47cm high and 31.9cm deep, when folded, it is one of the easiest trolleys on the market to store and use.

It comes with a customised F1 golf bag, which has an integrated rigid structure and locking mechanism that enable the bag to be locked securely into the base of the F1 Lithium.

The handle folds into the rear pocket of the custom-made bag, and when depressed unlocks the bag from the base.

The bag itself has 14 individual full-length dividers and 12 pockets including a dry pocket and a velvet-lined valuables pocket.

Brand new features of the trolley include a quick-release system for its wheel and thicker tyres for quieter running. The F1 Lithium also boasts an LCD screen on the rear cover which displays an accurate battery reading and other essential messages such as telling the user when to change the handset battery.

Mark Stewart, Stewart Golf's director of sales and marketing, said: "The F1 Lithium epitomises everything that Stewart Golf stands for, being exclusive, fashionable and extremely elegant.

"We've always prided ourselves on leading the way in the trolley market and have raised the bar yet again with yet another ground-breaking model."
