Living Coasts is holding a wine tasting evening in association with an award-winning local vineyard.
Pebblebed Vineyards at Topsham near Exeter will be bringing their award-winning organic wines to Torquay's coastal zoo on the evening of Wednesday June 25th.
Supported by Rh Advertising of Exeter, the evening will include a presentation about the Pebblebed vineyards, a tasting of different Pebblebed wines and the opportunity to buy direct. Tickets for the evening are £10 each, to include refreshments.
Living Coasts spokesperson Phil Knowling said: "If the weather is good then we will hold the evening on the Terrace - it will be a wonderful setting for an excellent night. It's good to know that high quality wines are being made right here in Devon."
The evening has been organised by the PAWS committee, a group of annual members who do voluntary work for the Living Coasts and Paignton Zoo charities.
Pebblebed Vineyards cover a total area of 22 acres, on sites at Ebford and Clyst St George, near Topsham, and at West Hill, near Ottery St Mary. The business, which is dedicated to environmental best practice, takes its name from the pebblebed ridge laid down during the Triassic era some 240 million years ago that extends across parts of East Devon.
