Students from the Skills for Life department at Cornwall College Saltash showed off their fantastic art skills in a special art show this week. Students ranging in age from 16-19 years showed off a variety of painting, pottery and printing.

The group, which are on the Independent Living Skills course and the Vocational Options course are all part of the Foundation Studies department and have moderate learning difficulties. The Art Show displayed their end of year's work as well as pottery which they have been making and selling as part of the "Fishy Business" team, at the National Marine Aquarium, in their shop.

Sally Alexander, who organised the show, praised the skills of the students and their keenness and enthusiasm. "Our students have worked really hard with these pieces and put their hearts and souls into their projects," she said.

Principal of Cornwall College, John Latham, added: "It is lovely to see such enthusiasm in our students. The pieces are really colourful and bright. This group have really unleashed their artistic talents."
